Norfolk U13's earn a hard fought draw against Bedfordshire

Norfolk U13 team consisting of Bradley Smith, Charlie Wakefield, Aruneesh Velu, Oliver Housden, Amy Hayhoe, Caitlin Parfitt, Jess Batemen and Poppy Williams travelled to Luton to take on Beds in an U13 Shires match. The Norfolk girls were too strong for the Beds team but up against some really strong boys, the match was level at the end of the Mixed and Singles.

Oliver Housden, making his debut, was particularly unlucky in his singles losing 23-21 in the 3rd rubber.

After some close doubles games Norfolk found themselves 10-9 down with one to play. With the match hanging in the balance it was left to Bradley and Oliver to rescue a draw by winning the remaining doubles game 12-21, 23-21, 21-15.

Well done to all and a really strong battling performance!
